He was the alpha leader, a well disciplined watch dog. He wasn’t really all that playful but here he lets off a rare smile. When i first saw him he tried to bite me, he was a very tempermental dog, so it took a day or two to win his trust. Once he knew me things were all cool. Magila got sick early last week and died before we can get him to a vet, he will be missed.

Ok, I’m still learning how to integrate flickr albums into this site. There are formatting errors I’m trying to fix. Just click on the image above to get to the album page.

Also on my wishlist is an upgrade to the Olympus FL-36 Flash to go with my ultimate compact rig. This will go well with my current prosumer camera - the Olympus C-7070 and FL-36 The IR and electronics will be still compatible with the current and next generation Olympus E-system SLRs once I upgrade. It’ll also provide me with the bounce flash that I have managed to live without all these years. The price seems to be going down as of this writing that I’m tempted to buy one real soon.

My ideal camera, the Olympus E-400 Digital SLR.
It’s the worlds smallest SLR - Size 130 x 91 x 53 mm (5.1 x 3.6 x 2.1 in), weight 420 g (14.8 oz), 4/3 lens system standard with 10 megapixel resolution, dust protection (but no live preview or image stabalization). The compactness of the camera is what draws me to it. Right now I’m using an Olympus C-7070, while it’s and excellent camera, I’m still holding out for the ideal SLR to upgrade to. The form factor of the E-400 is a step to the right direction since I like to travel light. Sadly, this camera is only available in Europe starting early November 2006. I’ll have to keep an eye out for grey market imports…
Update: dpreview just posted 46 new images taken with the E-400 in Japan
